10. Herman KRAUSE was born in January 1883 in Texas.^4,22,23 (Because his birth date was within 5 months of his brother, William, and because he was born in Texas, he may have been adopted.) He appeared in the census in 1900 in Wilton Township, Monroe County, WI.⁴

Herman KRAUSE and Martha KERCHOFF were married.²² Martha KERCHOFF, daughter of G. KERCHOFF and (Unknown) UNKNOWN (KERCHOFF), was born in Germany.

Herman KRAUSE and Martha KERCHOFF had the following children:
