1. Ferdinand "Fred" KRAUSE Sr. was born on 11 November 1847 in Planskowo, Posen Province, Preussen (Prussia).¹ He emigrated in 1882 from Preussen (Prussia).^1,2 He was Lutheran on 28 November 1884 in Ridgeville Township, Monroe County, WI.³ when he became a member of St. John's Evangelical Lutheran Church. He and his family are listed in the Communion Register of St. John's Evangelical Lutheran Church in the early 1890's. Fred appeared in the census in 1900 in Wilton Township, Monroe County, WI.⁴ He died in 1942 at the age of 95 in Wilton Township, Monroe County, WI.¹ He was buried in 1942 in Wilton, Wilton Township, Monroe County, WI.⁵ in the St. Paul's German Lutheran Church Cemetery.

Ferdinand "Fred" KRAUSE Sr. and Amalia SPLITT were married in 1873 in Preussen (Prussia).^1,3,4 (According to the 1900 Census, they had 7 children, of whom all 7 were living at the time. It is believed that Emil and Herman were adopted and not included in the 7.) Amalia SPLITT was born in 1849 in Preussen (Prussia).^4,5,6,7 (The 1900 Census listed her birth date as March 1845 and her age as 53.) She appeared in the census in 1900 in Wilton Township, Monroe County, WI.⁴ She died in 1912 at the age of 63 in Wilton Township, Monroe County, WI.⁶ Amalia was buried in 1912 in Wilton, Wilton Township, Monroe County, WI.⁵ in the St. Paul's German Lutheran Church Cemetery.

She must have been born in Germany.) (She was listed with her parents and siblings in the church Family Register (circa 1890), but her birth date was not listed.) She was baptized on 26 May 1889 in Ridgeville Township, Monroe County, WI.⁸ at St. John's Evangelical Lutheran Church. She appeared in the census in 1900 in Wilton Township, Monroe County, WI.⁴
5	iv.	Ida KRAUSE was born in January 1882 in Preussen (Prussia).⁴ She appeared in the census in 1900 in Wilton Township, Monroe County, WI.⁴

Bertha Helene Olga KRAUSE was born on 20 November 1886 in Wilton Township, Monroe County, WI.^3,7,9 She was baptized on 19 December 1886 in Ridgeville Township, Monroe County, WI.⁷ at St. John's Evangelical Lutheran Church. She appeared in the census in June 1900 in Wilton Township, Monroe County, WI.⁴ Bertha died in 1900 at the age of 14.⁹ She was buried in 1900 in Wilton, Wilton Township, Monroe County, WI.⁹ in the St. Paul's German Lutheran Cemetery.
