The Oak Grove Cemetery records also list his birth year as 1883. Other sources list his birth year as 1881. It is belived to have been 1883 because--according to the 1900 Census--his sister Ida was born in January 1882, so he could not have been born in November 1881.) He died on 10 September 1961 at the age of 77 in Tomah, Tomah Township, Monroe County, WI.^6,13 He was buried in Tomah, Tomah Township, Monroe County, WI.¹⁵ in the Oak Grove Cemetery.

Wilhelm Rudolph "William" KRAUSE and Emilie Alwine "Millie" GEHRKE were married on 21 December 1905 in Ridgeville Township, Monroe County, WI.^6,13,16 Emilie Alwine "Millie" GEHRKE¹⁴, daughter of Johann August GEHRKE and Maria MUHLBRADT, was born on 7 April 1885 in Ridgeville Township, Monroe County, WI.^{6,7,13,16,17,18} (Her given name may have been "Emile Alvina.") She was baptized on 10 May 1885 in Ridgeville Township, Monroe County, WI.⁷ at the St. John's Evangelical Lutheran Church. She died on 8 April 1944 at the age of 59 in Tomah, Tomah Township, Monroe County, WI.^6,13 Millie was buried in Tomah, Tomah Township, Monroe County, WI.¹⁵ in the Oak Grove Cemetery.
