Dianne Darlene LUDEKING and Thomas Michael "Tom" GRIFFIN were married on 17 February 1962 in Lincoln Township, Monroe County, WI.^{27,239,311,494,495} Thomas Michael "Tom" GRIFFIN, son of Russell Eben GRIFFIN and Doris Mary BROWN, was born on 6 July 1940 in Tomah, Tomah Township, Monroe County, WI.^129,311 He died on 18 September 2024 at the age of 84 in La Crosse, La Crosse County, WI.⁵⁴ Obituary Notes: "Thomas “Tom” M. Griffin, 84 of Oakdale passed away on Wednesday, September 18, 2024, at Mayo Clinic Health Systems, LaCrosse. He was born on July 6, 1940, to Russell and Doris (Brown) Griffin in Tomah, WI. Tom was a member of the Tomah High School Graduating Class of 1958. On February 17, 1962, he was united in marriage to Dianne D. Ludeking. Tom worked for Mack Implement in Camp Douglas for several years. In 1974, Tom and Dianne moved to the farm off county CA and Tom began his lifelong career in farming, retiring in 2012.

Farming doesn’t allow for a lot of free time, but when it did Tom often enjoyed fishing and just being out and about visiting with his neighbors and friends. Trips to the co-op to visit with the other local farmers was something he loved to do and often he would be on “Tom’s Time” which meant a “quick” ride over to the co-op could end up being a few hours long. He was an avid and serious Euchre card player, winning was of course his favorite way to end a card game.

Spending time with his grandchildren and great grandchildren was the joy of his life; tractor and four-wheeler rides were one of many activities that the grandkids looked forward to when visiting the farm and grandpa’s lap was always open for hugs and lots of love. After all those years of the long days of farming, sitting and watching his grandchildren and great grandchildren grow brought him overwhelming love and joy. He was a devoted husband, father and grandfather and will be missed by those that loved him.

He is survived by his wife, Dianne of Oakdale, children, Rick (Susan) Griffin, Lisa (Ted) Pfeffer and Karla (Tim) Pierce, grandchildren, Jordan (Jessica) Pierce, Lindsay (Phil) Gigous, Katie (Tyler) Treichel, Brody (Megan) Pierce, Madi Pfeffer, Tarry (McKenzie) Wiltsie and John (Bethany) Heser, great grandchildren, Kinley, Everleigh, Asher, Griffin, Waylon, Landon, Dallas, Gunner (fiancée Sydney), Kamryn, Marilyn, Ashlynn, Jonnie, Carsyn and Hayden. He is further survived by his siblings, Greg (Carol) Griffin, LeeAnn (Herb) Jensen, Vicki (Loren) Wildes, Katie (Juri) Valters, Val Post, Rosemary (George) Travis, Debbie (Mike) Ryan, and Becky (Tom) Collins, sisters-in-law, Doneita Gilson, Judy (Edwin) Olsen and Sue Ludeking, and a brother-in-law, Dale (Bonnie) Ludeking along with numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Russell and Doris, brothers, Russell Griffin, Jr. and Neil Griffin, mother-in-law and father-in-law, Raymond and Kathryn Ludeking, brothers-in-law, John Post, Gary Ludeking and Ron Gilson.
