Josiah MCCASKEY was born on 24 January 1806 in Enon Valley, Washington County, PA.^1,2 He appeared in the census in 1840 in Beaver County, PA.¹ He appeared in the census in 1850 in Poland, Mahoning County, OH.¹ Josiah appeared in the census in 1860 in Marshall Township, Richland County, WI. He appeared in the census in 1870 in Marshall Township, Richland County, WI.¹ He died in 1879 at the age of 73 in Taylor County, WI.^1,2 Josiah was buried in Berlin, Green Lake County, WI.²

Josiah MCCASKEY and Rebecca STEVENSON were married on 4 February 1830 in Ohio.² Rebecca STEVENSON was born about 1804 in Lawrence County, PA.¹ She lived in Poland, Mahoning County, OH in 1850.¹ She died in 1861 at the age of 57 in Richland County, WI.^1,2

Josiah MCCASKEY and Maria KUHNS were married about 1863.² Maria KUHNS was born about 1843 in Indiana.¹
