She appeared in the census in 1880 in Ridgeville Township, Monroe County, WI.¹³ Emma died on 9 November 1925 at the age of 52 in Embden, Cass County, ND.^15,16 She died of a stroke.

Emma Helena ECKELBERG and August Ferdinand LUTHER were married.¹¹ August Ferdinand LUTHER was born on 28 March 1872 in Preussen (Prussia).¹⁵ He died in March 1964 at the age of 92.¹⁵ He was buried in Eldred Township, Cass County, ND.¹⁵ in the Saint John Lutheran Church Cemetery.
