Prielipp, 69, of Tomah, died Sunday, July 25, 2010, at Franciscan Skemp Healthcare Center in LaCrosse. He was born October 12, 1940, to Lester and Virginia (Brown) Prielipp in the Town of Greenfield. He was baptized and confirmed at St. Peter Evangelical Lutheran Church. He was united in marriage to Sue Bernhardt on December 26, 1963, at St. Peter Ev. Lutheran Church. Gary and Sue farmed together for many years until his son David took over, and he drove for the Fuji Photo Processing Company until his retirement in 2005. He was an avid outdoorsman; he enjoyed traveling to Colorado for the elk and mule deer hunting season with his sons. He also enjoyed fishing and family camping trips. Gary served on the town of Tomah board for over 23 years. He was a faithful member of St. Peter Ev. Lutheran Church. He a U.S. Army Veteran and was a member of the Grassman-Sowle-Larsen-Senz American Legion Post #201. Gary was a devoted husband and a loving father, and a very proud grandpa. Most important to him was spending time with his family and friends. He is survived by his wife Sue; four children, Darrell (Shelia) of Tomah, Duane of Warrens, David (Kristy) of Tomah and Dan (Mary) of Norwalk; 11 grandchildren, Colt, Shania, Dalton, Devyn, Dawson, Kayla, Lexis, Kylie, Connor, Shane and Hailley; his mother, Virginia Burchard of Tomah; three sisters, LuAnn (Bill) Young of Midland, Tex., Janice Miller of Orfordville and Cheryl (Arden) Finnigan of Clifton; a sister-in-law, Doris (Roland) Kelley of Tomah; and a brother-in-law, Jim (Mabel) Bernhardt of Clifton; nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his father Lester; his step-father Bert Burchard; a brother-in-law and sister-in-law Don and Donna Muehlenkamp. Funeral services were held on Wednesday, July 28, 2010, 11 a.m. at St. Peter Evangelical Lutheran Church, Indian Creek. Pastor Paul G. Heiderich officiated. Burial followed in the Greenfield Cemetery. Relatives and friends called on Tuesday from 4 until 8 p.m. at the Sonnenburg Family Funeral Home, 801 E. Monowau Street, Tomah and on Wednesday at the church from 10 a.m. until the time of the service."
