He appeared in the census in 1950 in La Grange Township, Monroe County, WI.100 Lester died on 26 February 1981 at the age of 67 in Tomah, Tomah Township, Monroe County, WI.78 Lester William PRIELIPP (`) (~) and Virginia Ruth BROWN were married on 8 March 1937.101,102 Virginia Ruth BROWN, daughter of Charles BROWN and Lula HABERL, was born on 23 October 1918 in Cataract, Little Falls Township, Monroe County, WI.55,102 She appeared in the census in 1940 in La Grange Township, Monroe County, WI.99 She appeared in the census in 1950 in La Grange Township, Monroe County, WI.100 Virginia lived at her home in Black River Falls, Jackson County, WI before December 2004.103 She died on 16 March 2015 at the age of 96 in Tomah, Tomah Township, Monroe County, WI.102 Obituary Notes: "Virginia R. (Prielipp) Burchard, 96, of Tomah passed away Monday, March 16, 2015, at the Serenity House, Tomah. She was born Oct. 23, 1918, to Charles and Lula (Haberl) Brown in Cataract. Virginia attended the Cataract Grade School and was a member of the Sparta High School graduating class of 1936. On May 8, 1937, Virginia was united in marriage to Lester Prielipp. He preceded her in death Feb. 26, 1981. Together Lester and Virginia farmed in the Tomah area for several years. She later was united in marriage to Tremaine Burchard July 9, 1991. After 15 years of marriage he preceded her in death Feb. 2, 2006. Virginia was a farm wife for most of her life and also worked for several years at Band Box Cleaners. Virginia was a faithful and devoted member of First United Methodist Church serving with the Rebecca Ladies Circle. She also was a member of the Bear Creek Homemakers. Virginia was an accomplished homemaker. She was known as a very good cook and baker, always having a cookie jar filled with her homemade delicacies for her grandchildren and those who stopped for a visit. She filled her free time with camping, fishing, knitting, quilting and needle work. All of Virginia’s family reaped the rewards of her handmade quilting, crocheting and knitting. She used her different talents entertaining her family, especially spending time with the grand, great-grand and great-great-grandchildren. Virginia also dearly loved to dance, which was a first requirement for a suitor. Lester was able to find a way into Virginia’s heart and together they shared many precious moments floating around the dance floor. She is survived by her children, Luanne (Bill) Young of Midland, Texas, Janice Miller of Orfordville and Cheryl (Arden) Finnigan of Tomah; a daughter-in-law, Sue (Ken) Prielipp Olsen of Tomah; 13 grandchildren, Cindy (David) Cain of Midland, Bill (Audrey) Young of Wisconsin Rapids, Patricia (Mike) Spiser of Midland, Darrell (Sheila) Prielipp of Tomah, Duane Prielipp of Warrens, David (Kristy) Prielipp of Tomah, Dan (Mary) Prielipp of Tomah, Amy (Frank) Townsend of Orfordville, Rick Miller of Oakdale, Andres Miller of South Beloit, Ill., Kathy (Rick) Pease of Plant City, Fla., Kelly (Darrick) Johnson of Tomah and Kevin Finnigan of Tomah; 34 great-grandchildren; 12 great-great-grandchildren; stepchildren, Nancy Burchard of Black River Falls, Jean (Hank) Burow of Olympia, Wash., and Jackie (Ron) Burlingame of Merillian; nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by two husbands, Lester Prielipp and Tremaine Burchard; a son, Gary Prielipp; two brothers and sisters-in-law, Lester (Ethel) Brown, Marlin (Ruth) Brown; three sisters and brothers-in-law, Helen (Arnold) Tenner, Norma (Merle) Woodliff and Geraldine (Lude) Schotten. A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, March 21, 2015, at the First United Methodist Church. The Reverend William McBride will officiate. Burial will be in the Greenfield Cemetery." .
