The Rev. Herbert C. Kimmel, retired Congregational minister, read the 4 o'clock ceremony for the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Ralph Klessig, 1200 S. River Road, and Mr. Koopman, son of the Merle Koopmans, Tomah. A watteau lace train detailed the bride's peau de sole empire dress styled with batteau neckline and cap bell sleeves. Rosettes of pearls and crystals studded the bow holding her English illusion veil. Red and white spider chrysanthemums were in the brides's spray bouquet. Honor attendant for her sister-in-law was Mrs. Kenneth Klessig and bridesmaids were Laura Koopman, the bridegroom's sister, Kari Olsen and Kathy Kaiser. Rasberry peau de soie dresses fashioned in empire style and matching boufant veils were worn by the attendants. They carried bouquets of red and white carnations. Kenneth Kessig, the bride's brother, was best man; Ron Reisenauer, the bridegroom's cousin, John Daiger and Larry Schmalz, ushers. The dinner-reception for 100 guests was held at La Pods Supper Club, Saturday evening. The newly weds will be at home at 4704 S. Packard St., St. Francis, Wis. Mrs. Koopman received her bachelor of science degree in commercial art from the University of Wisconsin this year and was formerly employed at Ericksons Petroleum Co. The bridegroom, a 1964 University of Wisconsin graduate in banking and finance, is employed in the credit department of Mobil Oil Co., in Milwaukee."
