He was born July 2, 1907, in the Town of Milwaukee, the son of Albert and Elizabeth (Burmeister) Borchardt. He married Helen Vandervort of Brown Deer on June 19, 1941, in Brown Deer.

Survivors include three sons, Eugene of Saukville, Donald of Cedarburg and Rollie (Delores) of Cedarburg; one daughter, Rollene Yenter of Milwaukee, 13 grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren.

His wife and one daughter, Deanice, preceded him in death.

Mr. Borchardt was a member of Redeemer Evangelical Lutheran Church, Cedarburg.

The Rev. Curtis Jahn officiated at funeral services Saturday at Mueller Funeral Home, Cedarburg. Interment was in Immanual Cemetery, Cedarburg." He was buried on 16 September 1989 in Cedarburg, Ozaukee County, WI.^315,427 in the Immanuel Cemetery.
