Her middle name was the same as that of her paternal grandmother, Charlotte "Lottie" Coome. ) She appeared in the census in 1920 in La Grange Township, Monroe County, WI.155,156 She appeared in the census in 1930 in Mauston, Juneau County, WI.156 She was a "Servant" in the home of Jake Marachowsky and his family. Helen appeared in the census in 1940 in Mauston, Juneau County, WI.424 She was a "Servant" in the household of Jake Marachowsky and her occupation was "Housekeeper, Private Family." She appeared in the census in 1950 in Milwaukee, Milwaukee County, WI.397 She died on 1 May 1986 at the age of 74 in Milwaukee, Milwaukee County, WI.105,425,426 Obituary Notes: "Helen Vandervort Borchardt, 111 Hollister Ave., passed away May 1 at St. Michael's Hospital, Milwaukee. Funeral is at Milwaukee. She was the sister of Fred Vandervort and Freda Clay of Tomah, and Willeene Egeland of Adams." Many nice gifts were received and friends departed wishing them many happy years." Arthur William "Art" BORCHARDT (-), son of Albert H. H. BORCHARDT and Eliese BURMEISTER, was born on 2 July 1907 in Milwaukee, Milwaukee County, WI.315,430 (His middle initial was listed as "A" in the 1910 Census.) He appeared in the census in 1910 in Milwaukee, Milwaukee County, WI.430 He was living with his parents on Section Line Road, west of Port Washington Road. He appeared in the census in 1920 in Milwaukee, Milwaukee County, WI.431 He was living with his brother Walter and his family on Brown Deer Road. Art appeared in the census in April 1930 in Milwaukee, Milwaukee County, WI.98,432 He and his wife and son Eugene were living with his father on Brown Deer Road. His occupation was listed as "Gardener, Private Family." He worked for Harry Bradley, a Vice President and part-owner of the Allen-Bradley Company. He appeared in the census in 1940 in Milwaukee, Milwaukee County, WI.433 He was a Widower and his household was at 237 Brown Deer Road. His occupation was "Laborer, Brown Deer Park Project." He appeared in the census in 1950 in Milwaukee, Milwaukee County, WI.397 His household was at 1036 West Brown Deer Road and his occupation was "Caretaker, Private Homes."

In addition to his wife and five children, living in his household were two "Lodgers," Ruth Wruck, age 18, occupation "Housework, Private Home," and Dorothy Weigel, age 18, occupation "Waitress, Restaurant Business." Art died on 14 September 1989 at the age of 82 in Milwaukee, Milwaukee County, WI.315,425 Obituary Notes: "Arthur William Borchardt, 82, of Cedarburg died of a stroke Sept. 14, 1989 at St. Michael Hospital, Milwaukee. He was born July 2, 1907, in the Town of Milwaukee, the son of Albert and Elizabeth (Burmeister) Borchardt. He married Helen Vandervort of Brown Deer on June 19, 1941, in Brown Deer.

Survivors include three sons, Eugene of Saukville, Donald of Cedarburg and Rollie (Delores) of Cedarburg; one daughter, Rollene Yenter of Milwaukee, 13 grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren.

His wife and one daughter, Deanice, preceded him in death.

Mr. Borchardt was a member of Redeemer Evangelical Lutheran Church, Cedarburg.

The Rev. Curtis Jahn officiated at funeral services Saturday at Mueller Funeral Home, Cedarburg. Interment was in Immanual Cemetery, Cedarburg." He was buried on 16 September 1989 in Cedarburg, Ozaukee County, WI.315,427 in the Immanuel Cemetery.
