Obituary Notes: "Helen M. Anderson, 86, of Tomah passed away Saturday, March 9, 2013, in Madison, Wis. She was born July 29, 1926, to Charles and Fern (Sowle) Hart in Tomah. Helen was united in marriage to Robert Anderson Sept. 17, 1948.

Helen worked at Decomet in Sparta, for a few years before going to work at Prange Way in Madison, where she worked until her retirement and enjoyed the friendships she made there. In her spare time she enjoyed camping, cooking and more than anything she loved her family and spending time with them.

She is survived by her children, Robert Kenneth Jr. “Kenny” (Judy) Anderson of Tomah, Dianne Maxine (Allan) Wildes of New Holland, Pa., and Nancy Leah (David) Thompson of Avoca, Wis.; 13 grandchildren; and 22 great-grandchildren; two brothers, Forrest “Stub” (Joy) Hart of Tomah and Donald (Sara) Hart of Oxnard, Calif.; sisters, Ruth (Abear) Hart of Tomah, Marlene Anderson and Delores (Kenneth) Randall of Tomah, many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Robert Sr.; a son, Richard “Dick” Charles Anderson; and a sister, Maxine Hart.
Helen’s family would like to thank Four Winds Skilled Nursing and Rehabilitation staff in Verona and Agrace Hospice of Fitchburg, Wis. for the excellent care given to her and her family.

Funeral services will be 1 p.m. on Wednesday at the First Congregational United Church of Christ in Tomah. Pastor Edwin Stigen will officiate. Burial will follow in the Oak Grove Cemetery, Tomah. Family and friends are invited for visitation from 11 a.m. until the time of service Wednesday at the First Congregational United Church of Christ."
