Audrey Jean WILDE and Thomas James "Tom" MICKELSON were married on 13 June 1964 in Tomah, Tomah Township, Monroe County, WI.^174,291 Thomas James "Tom" MICKELSON was born on 21 February 1944 in Eau Claire, Eau Claire Township, Eau Claire County, WI.^174,291 He died on 4 September 2024 at the age of 80 in La Crosse, La Crosse County, WI.¹⁷⁴ Obituary Notes: "Thomas James Mickelson (80) of Tomah, WI passed away on September 4, 2024, at Gundersen Lutheran Medical Center, LaCrosse. He was born on February 21, 1944, in Eau Claire, Wisconsin to Wesley and Jeanette (Christopherson) Mickelson. His family moved to Tomah, Wisconsin in 1951. He met the love of his life, Audrey Wilde, at Tomah High School in 1962. They were married at St. Paul Ev. Lutheran Church on June 13, 1964. Tom worked at Red Owl, Crams and Gambles. Tom owned Neitzel Floor Covering and then installed carpeting for many in the area. He was also a bus driver.

Tom loved antiques, auctions, hunting and spending time with his kids and grandchildren. If there was a laughing child thrown in the air, you knew who was doing it. He loved his family deeply and let us all know it.

Tom is survived by his wife, Audrey Mickelson, his children, Todd Mickelson (DeAnne), Teri Grokowsky (Karl), Erica Raddatz (Kevin) and Karla Grant (Greg).

Grandchildren, Bryan Mickelson, Daniel Grokowsky, David Grokowsky (Joyce), Allison Kaio (Tarl) Rachel Grokowsky, Josh Mickelson, Katelyn Schultz (Aaron), Tamera Mickelson (Marcus), Andrew Raddatz, Konner Raddatz, Contessa Grant and Elijah Grant.

Great grandchildren, Roman Duberstien and Caleb Kaio. Sister Janet Birkholz (Larry), Maxine Person (Mark) and Ruth Mickelson.

He is further survived by many nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Wesley and Jeanette Mickelson, in-laws, Laverne and Marlene Wilde, sister-in-law, Carol Kuehl (Rollie) and many aunts, uncles and cousins.

A Memorial Service will be held on Friday, September 13, 2024, 12:00 Noon at St. Paul Ev. Lutheran Church, 525 Superior Ave., Tomah. The Pastors of St. Paul’s will officiate. Burial will be in Oak Grove Cemetery. Relatives and friends are invited for a time of visitation on Friday from 10:00 AM until the time of the service.
