"Lynnville May 2nd 1874
I have thought it to be my duty to make my will. I thought it best to write myself. It may not be in a correct form. I hope all of you my children will except it as my wish and will. I want to do what seems to be right to all my children and grand children I wish to have after all expenses paid. I wish to have the twelve 100 dollars that I received or was to out of your fathers' estate I want to have that divided equal between the 4 children 300 a piece to go back to your Fathers wish that Prescott should have enough more to give him a chance to get his education. I therefore would give his 200 out of the money I left East. I also think it my duty to give to Henry 200 more for his labor on the farm before the property was sold. I pray there may be no unkind feelings I think there wont be. Now to my grandchildren I want to give to Cassius 50. Dol. To Frank 50. to John Fifty 50 to Willis M. 50. to Oscar D. 50 to Charles P. 50. to Wallus 50 to Willis Prescott boy 50 should I leave what I at presant have I would give to Ida 25 to Elah 25 to Maybel 25 after all expenses paid should there be any thing over of money let it be divided to the children."
She died on 26 November 1875 at the age of 78 in Lindenwood, Ogle County, IL.
