Friedrich Martin "Fredrick" RAABE Sr.¹ was born on 2 January 1819 in Alt Rudnitz, Neumark, Brandenburg Province, Preussen (Prussia).^2,3,4 (He may have been the brother of August Raabe, who was born in Preussen in about 1824 and/or Charrles Rabe, who was born in Preussen in 1823.) He emigrated in 1867 from Preussen (Prussia).⁵ (The emigration year of his wife and several of his children is listed in the 1900 Census as 1867, so it is assumed that they emigrated with him.)

. He appeared in the census in 1870 in Wilton Township, Monroe County, WI.² His occupation was "Farmer." (His surname is listed as "Ranbe" in the Ancestry.com census index.) Fredrick appeared in the census in 1880 in Wilton Township, Monroe County, WI.⁴ His occupation was "Farmer." He died on 14 January 1883 at the age of 64.⁶ He was buried in 1883 in Dorset Ridge, Wilton Township, Monroe County, WI.⁶ in the Immanuel German Lutheran Church Cemetery. (His middle name may have been Martin. The marriage of his daughter, Louise, to Gregor Schmieder lists her parents as "Martin and Louise Raabe" in the Parish Register of St. John's Lutheran Church, Ridgeville.)

Friedrich Martin "Fredrick" RAABE Sr. and Sophia Louise PRAVITZ were married about 1844 in Preussen (Prussia).^4,5,7,8 (According to the 1900 Census record for his wife, they had 11 children, of whom 8 were living at the time. The names and identities of their children listed below must be confirmed.)

Sophia Louise PRAVITZ was born on 19 April 1825 in Alt Rudnitz, Neumark, Brandenburg Province, Preussen (Prussia).^2,5,6 She emigrated in 1867 from Preussen (Prussia).⁵ She appeared in the census in 1870 in Wilton Township, Monroe County, WI.² Sophia appeared in the census in 1880 in Wilton Township, Monroe County, WI.⁴ She appeared in the census in 1900 in Wilton Township, Monroe County, WI.⁵ She was living in the household of her son August and his family. She died in 1901 at the age of 76.⁶ Sophia was buried in 1901 in Dorset Ridge, Wilton Township, Monroe County, WI.⁶ in the Immanuel German Lutheran Church Cemetery.

Henry appeared in the census in 1900 in Wilton Township, Monroe County, WI.⁵ He was living in the household of his brother August. He was buried in 1919 in Clifton Township, Monroe County, WI.⁹ in the Clifton Cemetery. He died on 10 June 1919 at the age of 58.⁹
