"Ray" RUSS was born on 6 July 1921 in Illinois.^13,17 He appeared in the census in 1930 in Newport Township, Columbia County, WI.¹³ He appeared in the census in 1940 in Wisconsin Dells, Columbia County, WI.¹⁵ He was living with his parents and his occupation was "Truck Driver, Building Industry." Ray died on 28 December 2003 at the age of 82 in Waukesha, Waukesha County, WI.¹⁷ Obituary Notes: "Raymond Russ, age 82, of Dousman, died at Virginia Nursing Home in Waukesha. He was the son of Peter and Florence (nee Nugent) Russ and was an auto body repair man and a veteran of World War II. Ray married the former Helena Cavanagh on May 21, 1950, in Chicago.

Survivors include his wife; his children, Denise Schilling of Fort Atkinson, Deborah Green of Fort Atkinson, Dennis Russ of Palmyra, Doreen (Steve) Harris of Mukwonago, Daniel Russ of Milwaukee and David Russ of Merrill; five grandchildren, his brothers, John Russ of Anchorage, Alaska, Thomas Russ of Lodi; other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents; a sister, Grace; and a granddaughter, Samantha.

He was buried in Dousman, Waukesha County, WI.
