20. Peter Anthony RUSS was born on 26 October 1896 in Illinois.^12,13 (According to the 1930 Census, his parents were born in Germany.) He appeared in the census in 1900 in Chicago, Cook County, IL.³ He appeared in the census in 1910 in Chicago, Cook County, IL.¹¹ He was living with his mother and brothers.. He registered for the Military Draft on 5 June 1918 in Chicago, Cook County, IL. ¹⁴ His World War I draft card lists his address as 6106 South Klamath and his occupation as "Working for Self." His description was "Medium" height, "Medium" weight, with "Light Grey" eyes, "Brown" hair and "Weak Eyes." Peter appeared in the census in 1920 in Chicago, Cook County, IL.⁸ His household was at 6106 South Kolman (?) Avenue and consisted of Peter and his wife, Florence. Their daughter, Grace, was not listed, although she was born on 11 January and the census was dated 15 January. His occupation was "Boiler Maker."

In the next household was Rudolph Russ, age 29--most likely his brother. . He appeared in the census in 1930 in Newport Township, Columbia County, WI.¹³ His occupation was listed as "Farmer." He appeared in the census in 1940 in Wisconsin Dells, Columbia County, WI.¹⁵ His occupation was "Carpenter, Building Industry." He registered for the Military Draft on 25 April 1942 in Portage, Columbia County, WI. ¹⁴ His World War II draft card lists his description as 5' 8 1/2" with "Blue" eyes, "Black" hair and "Light" complexion. His address was 1029 Capital Street, Wisconsin Dells.

About 1950 Peter was a motel owner in Wisconsin Dells, Columbia County, WI.¹⁶ He died on 10 January 1981 at the age of 84 in Wisconsin Dells, Columbia County, WI.¹²

Peter Anthony RUSS and Florence S. NUGENT were married on 27 November 1918 in Chicago, Cook County, IL.¹³ Florence S. NUGENT was born on 2 December 1898 in Illinois.^12,13 She appeared in the census in 1920 in Chicago, Cook County, IL.⁸ She appeared in the census in 1930 in Newport Township, Columbia County, WI.¹³ Florence appeared in the census in 1940 in Wisconsin Dells, Columbia County, WI.¹⁵ She died on 11 December 1988 at the age of 90 in Wisconsin Dells, Columbia County, WI.¹² She was buried on 14 December 1988 in Wisconsin Dells, Columbia County, WI.¹² in the Calvary Cemetery.

RUSS was born on 11 January 1920 in Illinois.12,13 She appeared in the census in 1930 in Newport Township, Columbia County, WI.13 She appeared in the census in 1940 in Wisconsin Dells, Columbia County, WI.15 Her occupation was "Housemaid, Private Home.". After 1955 Grace was a grocery store check-out clerk at National Food Stores in West Allis, Milwaukee County, WI.16 She lived with the family of Vern and Bernice Griggs for about 20 years until they sold their home and moved to Tomah, WI in 1976. She then lived in an apartment in West Allis until moving back to Wisconsin Dells.. She died on 4 March 1995 at the age of 75 in Wisconsin Dells, Columbia County, WI.12 She was buried on 9 March 1995 in Wisconsin Dells, Columbia County, WI.12 in the Calvary Cemetery.
