He was united in marriage to Loretta Mae Bigelow on July 12, 1928. They lived their entire life in the Tomah area. Shaw was an auto mechanic for many years. He is survived by his wife, four sons, Donald, Ronald and Thomas, Tomah, and Robert, Camp Douglas; six daughters, Mrs. Rose Ross of Ixonia, Mrs. Ardella Garber of Warrens, Mrs. Sylvia Brady and Mrs. Joyce Skogan of Tomah, Mrs. Mary Ames of Camp Douglas and Mrs. Diana Bowen of Lawton, Okla. Also surviving are 38 grandchildren, seven great-grandchildren, one brother, Donald Payne of Merrill, Ore., one sister, and Mrs. Nona Revels of La Crosse. Two daughters preceded him in death."
