Johannes Friedrich "John" SCHULZ Jr. was born on 10 March 1820 in Mecklenburg-Vorpommern Province, Preussen (Prussia).2,3,5,6 (His name was listed as "Johann Schulz" in the records of the baptism of his daughter Caroline and his son George; it was listed as "Johannes Schulz" for his daughter Ida's baptism; but it was spelled "Schultz" in a biographical sketch about him. In that same article, his birth year was listed as 1819.) He emigrated in 1858 from Preussen (Prussia).2,6 He appeared in the census in 1860 in Adrian Township, Monroe County, WI.3 His occupation was "Farmer." John was Lutheran in 1872 in Tomah, Tomah Township, Monroe County, WI.7 He was one of the first seventeen charter members who formed St. Paul Evangelical Lutheran Church. He died on 1 June 1898 at the age of 78.4 He was buried in Tomah Township, Monroe County, WI.8 in the Mount Vernon Cemetery.

Johannes Friedrich "John" SCHULZ Jr. and Maria "Mary" BARTELS were married in 1848 in Herzfeld, Mecklenburg-Vorpommern Province, Preussen (Prussia).2,9 Maria "Mary" BARTELS was born on 28 August 1830 in Mecklenburg-Vorpommern Province, Preussen (Prussia).2,3,6,10 (She was probably a younger sister of Johann Otto "John" Bartels. Her surname was spelled "Bartel" in the biographical sketch of her husband.) She emigrated in 1858 from Preussen (Prussia).2 She appeared in the census in 1860 in Adrian Township, Monroe County, WI.3 Mary died on 20 April 1894 at the age of 63.4 She was buried in Tomah Township, Monroe County, WI.8 in the Mount Vernon Cemetery.

He was baptized on 9 October 1867 in Ridgeville Township, Monroe County, WI.11 in the St. John's Evangelical Lutheran Church. After 1898 he was a farmer in Jacksonville, Tomah Township, Monroe County, WI.12 Henry died on 16 June 1939 at the age of 72.4 He was buried in Tomah Township, Monroe County, WI.8 in the Mount Vernon Cemetery.

Ida Mathilde SCHULZ was born on 4 July 1870 in Adrian Township, Monroe County, WI.2,11 She was baptized on 29 January 1871 in Ridgeville Township, Monroe County, WI.11 in the St. John's Evangelical Lutheran Church. She appeared in the census in 1900 in Tomah, Tomah Township, Monroe County, WI. She was living with her sister Mary and her family. Ida died on 13 September 1926 at the age of 56.4 She was buried in Tomah, Tomah Township, Monroe County, WI.13 in the Oak Grove Cemetery.
