She was listed as a "Widow" and her occupation was "Telephone Operator." She died on 13 April 1979 at the age of 88 in Tomah, Tomah Township, Monroe County, WI.^2,3 in the Tomah Care Center.

Obituary Notes: "Mrs. Anna Hyland, 88, Tomah, died Friday, April 13 in Tomah Care Center. Mrs. Hyland was a telephone operator for Northwest Telephone Co. for more than 40 years. A son, Stanley, also preceded her in death. Survivors are two grandchildren; five great-grandchildren and a sister, Mrs. Louise Brown of Tomah." She was buried on 16 April 1979 in Tomah, Tomah Township, Monroe County, WI.^2,3 in the Oak Grove Cemetery.
