(The 1920 and 1930 Census lists her emigration year as 1867, but it was probably 1866, when her parents emigrated.) She appeared in the census in 1870 in Baltimore (Independent City), MD. Josephine appeared in the census in 1880 in Baltimore (Independent City), MD. Her household was a few homes down the street from that of her parents. Her occupation was "Tailoress."
