He appeared in the census in 1930 in Tomah, Tomah Township, Monroe County, WI.⁸⁷ He appeared in the census in 1940 in Tomah, Tomah Township, Monroe County, WI.¹⁶⁰ DeVere graduated in 1941 in Tomah, Tomah Township, Monroe County, WI.²³⁵ from Tomah High School. He died on 1 February 2016 at the age of 88 in Burnsville, Dakota County, MN.²³⁶

Obituary Notes: "Devere “Dutch” L. Vandervort, 91, of Burnsville formerly of Old Forge, N.Y., San Diego, Calif., and Tomah, Wis., passed away Feb. 1, 2016.

Dutch retired from Kodak Corp after a distinguish career of 30+ years.

He is preceded in death by his wife, Gail; daughter, Susan (Thomas) Ladner; and brother, Glenn Vandervort.

He is survived by his grandchildren, Tammy Ladner, Robert (Shilo) and Scott (Jennifer) Ladner; eight great-grandchildren; sister, Laura (Hal) Wahl; also by nieces, nephews; other relatives; and friends.

Funeral service will be held at 1 p.m. Tuesday, Feb. 9, 2016, at First United Methodist Church, 1105 Butts Ave., Tomah, 54660, with a visitation one hour prior to service at church. Interment in LaGrange Cemetery, Tomah."

DeVere Leon "Dutch" VANDERVORT and Gail LEICHTNER were married on 13 July 1974 in Old Forge, Herkimer County, NY.^88,235 Gail LEICHTNER, daughter of Arthur LEICHTNER and Rose UNKNOWN (LEICHTNER), was born on 8 February 1936 in Rochester, Monroe County, NY.²³⁵ She died on 16 June 1999 at the age of 63 in San Diego, San Diego County, CA.²³⁵

DeVere Leon "Dutch" VANDERVORT and Katy Jane GARDNER were married on 20 December 1945 in Ripon, Fond du Lac County, WI.²³⁵ in the Ripon College chapel, by Dr. Crump, who was DeVere's math professor and also a minister. They²³⁵ were divorced in June 1954.²³⁵ Katy Jane GARDNER was born on 15 February 1924.¹⁶⁹ She died on 12 February 2012 at the age of 87 in Crosby, Crow Wing County, MN.¹⁶⁹
