Caroline KNAPP and Smith PEACOCK were married before 1860 in New York.^14,92 Smith PEACOCK was born about 1828.⁹² He served in the military between 27 August 1862 and 3 August 1864 in New York.⁹² He enlisted on 8/27/1862 at Hanover, NY as a Private. On 8/30/1862 he mustered into "K" Co., NY 112th Infantry. He was promoted to Corporal on 6/20/1864. He died of disease on 8/3/1864. He died on 3 August 1864 at the age of 36 in Virginia.⁹² Smith was buried in Hopewell, Hopewell City, VA.⁹² in the City Point National Cemetery. He may have died in the Civil War.
