Barth, daughter of Salem and Azubah Evans, aged three months.

She has come and she has gone. It were hard to give her up, did we not know that He who said 'Suffer little children who come unto me and forbid them not, for of such is the kingdom of Heaven, doth all things well.

'Over the river of death she has passed,
Safe on the evergreen shore;
Freed from this world of sin and distress,
To suffer affliction no more.
Like the bud that puts forth in the spring time,
We looked for a blossom fair;
but she has gone to the home of the blessed,
to await our arrival there.
The Savior that died to redeem us,
Will make us pure within,
And fit and prepare us for heaven,
A place that is free from sin.'"
