VIETH was born on 13 November 1910 in Sheldon Township, Monroe County, WI.10 He appeared in the census in 1920 in Sheldon Township, Monroe County, WI.20 He appeared in the census in 1930 in Sheldon Township, Monroe County, WI.16 He was living with his parents. Erwin died on 10 December 1987 at the age of 77 in Sparta, Sparta Township, Monroe County, WI.10

Erwin J. VIETH and Margaret Marie PFUHL were married on 28 September 1943 in Norwalk, Monroe County, WI.8,10,32,33 Margaret Marie PFUHL, daughter of Harvey Elmer PFUHL and Lillian V. DRAKE, was born on 22 October 1922 in Ridgeville Township, Monroe County, WI.10,19 She appeared in the census in 1930 in Ridgeville Township, Monroe County, WI.33 She died on 26 January 2005 at the age of 82 in Sparta, Sparta Township, Monroe County, WI.10

Obituary Notes: "Margaret Vieth, age 82, of Sparta, and formerly of Norwalk, passed away Wednesday, January 26, 2005, at the Rolling Hills Rehabilitation Center in Sparta. She was born on October 22, 1922, to Harvey and Lillian (Drake) Pfuhl in the Township of Ridgeville. On September 28, 1943, she was united in marriage to Erwin J. Vieth at Salem Evangelical United Brethren Church.

She was a member of the Norwalk Methodist Church. She was also a member of the church choir, the ladies aid and Homemakers club. Margaret enjoyed babysitting and baking.

She is survived by her daughter, Janice (Leon) Schleusener of Tomah; two grandchildren, Loren (Tammy Svobota) and Michelle; and a great grand-daughter, Tayler; a brother, Rupert (Marlene) Pfuhl of Sparta; a sister, Virginia Hubbard of Norwalk; a brother-in-law, Dean Short of Norwalk; nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Erwin J.; her parents, Harvey and Lillian; a sister, Elmyra Short and an infant sister; and brother-in-law, Edwin Hubbard.

Funeral services were Saturday, January 29, 2005, 11 a.m. at the Torkelson Funeral Home in Tomah. Burial will follow at a later date in the Wanderers Rest Cemetery, Norwalk. Family and friends visited on Friday, January 28, 2005, from 4 p.m. until 8 p.m. at the Torkelson Funeral Home in Tomah and from 10 a.m. until the time of service on Saturday at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorials are given to the family in memory of Margaret. The Torkelson Funeral Home in Tomah is assisting the family with arrangements.
