Juanita SHEETS was born on 10 January 1920 in Wood River Township, Madison County, IL.^44,92 She died on 26 September 1996 at the age of 76 in East Alton, Madison County, IL.^44,92

Obituary Notes: "East Alton. Juanita M. Vroman, 76, died at 8:49 PM Thursday, September 26, 1996, at Missouri i Baptist Medical Center in St. Louis County after an extended illness following heart surgery in July.
Born in Wood River, on January 10, 1920, she was the daughter of the late Frank and Dolly Eva (Franklin) Sheets.
She married Vernon V. Vroman on December 24, 1939, in East Alton. He died May 27, 1995. Surviving are a daughter and son-in-law, Margie Jenan and James Pravlik of Butler, PA.; a brother, John Sheets of Wood River; a sister, Margie Vroman of east Alton; three grandchildren, Ryan and Shannah Ballman and Chad Pravlik; two step-grandchildren, Jeff and Andy Pravlik; two nephews; and eight nieces.
From 1960 to 1983, she was employed by the village of East Alton as the chief executive's secretary to Mayor Charles VanPreter and Mayor Frank Keasler. She was a member of the East Alton Beautification Committee and an active member of the Wood River Congregation of Jehovah's Witnesses. Her hope for the future is to live again on the paradise Earth as expressed in the Bible in Psalms 37:29 and in Revelations 21:3-4. She looked forward to the time when the righteous will possess the earth and reside forever on it because God will wipe out every tear and death will be no more. Her kind heart and sweet smile will never be forgotten by anyone whose life she has touched.
Visitation will be from 4 to 8 PM today at Marks Mortuary in Wood River. Visitation will continue from noon Tuesday until services at 1 PM at Kingdom Hall in Cottage Hills, Jack E. Hooven will speak. Burial will be in Woodland Hill Cemetery in East Alton. Memorials may be made to the Wood River Congregation of Jehovah's Witnesses or Alzheimer's Foundation."
