2. August Friedrich Ferdinand WAEGE was born on 2 February 1826 in Preussen (Prussia).^1,3,4 (In the 1880 Census, his surname--and that of all of his children--is listed as Wage.) He emigrated in 1863 from Preussen (Prussia).^3,5,6 He is the first Waege to have located to Monroe County, WI. According to the 1910 Census, his son Carl emigrated in 1863, and it is assumed that all of the family members came together. He appeared in the census in 1880 in Wilton Township, Monroe County, WI.³ His household consisted of "Ferdinand;" his wife, Minna; their son, Ferdinand; and their daughter, Minna. August appeared in the census in 1900 in Wilton Township, Monroe County, WI.⁴ In May 1908 he was a member of the Monroe County Board of Supervisors, representing Wilton Township in Wilton Township, Monroe County, WI.⁷ He appeared in the census in April 1910 in Wilton, Wilton Township, Monroe County, WI.⁵ He was living with his son Carl. August died on 26 December 1910 at the age of 84 in Wilton Township, Monroe County, WI.^1,8 He was buried in 1910 in Wilton, Wilton Township, Monroe County, WI.⁸ in the St. Paul's German Lutheran Church Cemetery.

August Friedrich Ferdinand WAEGE and Dorothea Wilhelmine Friederike "Minna" KAMRATH were married on 13 January 1850 in Pagenkopf, Kreis Naugard, Pommern (Pomerania) Province, Preussen (Prussia).^1,9 Dorothea Wilhelmine Friederike "Minna" KAMRATH was born on 16 September 1828 in Preussen (Prussia).^1,3,4,8,10 (She may have been a sister of Karl "Carl" Kamrath, who married Louise Droese and also emigrated to Monroe County.) She emigrated in 1863 from Preussen (Prussia).⁵ She appeared in the census in 1900 in Wilton Township, Monroe County, WI.⁴ Minna died on 19 March 1905 at the age of 76 in Wilton Township, Monroe County, WI.¹¹ She was buried in Wilton, Wilton Township, Monroe County, WI.^8,11 in the St. Paul's German Lutheran Church cemetery.
