Johann Friedrich "Fred" ZIRK was born on 5 January 1858 in Danzig, Westpreussen (West Prussia) Province, Preussen (Prussia).¹ He emigrated in November 1885 from Germany.⁷ He died on 17 November 1926 at the age of 68.^1,7 Fred was buried in 1926 in Glendale Township, Monroe County, WI.³ in the St. Luke's Lutheran Church cemetery.

Johann Friedrich "Fred" ZIRK and Helena Augusta LIEST were married on 19 January 1892.^1,7 Helena Augusta LIEST was born on 6 October 1874.^3,4,7 She died on 21 January 1959 at the age of 84 in Hillsboro, Vernon County, WI.^7,8 She was buried in 1959 in Glendale Township, Monroe County, WI.^3,4 in the St. Luke's Lutheran Church cemetery.
