He emigrated in 1892 from Hamburg, Schleswig-Holstein Province, Preussen (Prussia).^2,4,8,15,16 He appeared in the census in 1895 in Sparta, Sparta Township, Monroe County, WI.⁷ Fred appeared in the census in 1900 in Sparta, Sparta Township, Monroe County, WI. He was living with his parents and his occupation was "Day Laborer." He appeared in the census in 1910 in Sparta Township, Monroe County, WI.⁴ His occupation was "Farmer, General Farm." He appeared in the census in 1920 in Sparta, Sparta Township, Monroe County, WI.¹⁶ His occupation was "Farmer, Home Farm." Fred appeared in the census in 1930 in Glendale Township, Monroe County, WI.¹⁵ His occupation was "Farmer, General Farming." He died on 23 December 1959 at the age of 77 in Kendall, Glendale Township, Monroe County, WI.⁵ He was buried in Sparta, Sparta Township, Monroe County, WI.⁵ in the St. John's Evangelical Lutheran Church Cemetery. (The cemetery records list his year of death as 1954.)

Ferdinand "Fred" FRIESKE and Helenia W. "Lena" SIEKERT were married on 7 November 1906 in Sparta, Sparta Township, Monroe County, WI.^6,15,25 at St. John's Lutheran Church. Theirs was the first marriage in the church, which had just been completed. Helenia W. "Lena" SIEKERT, daughter of Wilhelm SIEKERT and Auguste HAASE, was born on 4 October 1882 in Sparta, Sparta Township, Monroe County, WI.^5,6,8,15,16 (According to the 1920 and 1930 Census', her parents were born in Germany.)
