11. Ludwig August GERKE was born on 12 September 1848 in Dransfeld, nach Gottingen, Hanover, Niedersachsen (Lower Saxony) Province, Preussen (Prussia).^4,5 He emigrated on 26 May 1869 from Dransfeld, nach Gottingen, Hanover, Niedersachsen (Lower Saxony) Province, Preussen (Prussia).^4,5 on the ship Bark Everhard Delius, which sailed from Bremen to New York. He died on 12 February 1877 at the age of 28.⁵ Ludwig was buried in Wilton Township, Monroe County, WI.^5,47 in the Noth Family Cemetery.
