2. William Molanethon HART Sr. was born on 30 January 1855 in Beaver Dam, Dodge County, WI.3,4,5,6,7 (The Oak Grove Cemetery records list his birth year as 1855.) (He and his parents could not be located anywhere in the U.S. in the 1860 or 1870 Census.) He appeared in the census in 1880 in Oakdale, Antelope County, NE.1 His surname was spelled "Heart" and his occupation was "Saloon Keeper." He appeared in the census in 1900 in Grant Township, Monroe County, WI.4 William appeared in the census in 1910 in Grant Township, Monroe County, WI.8 He appeared in the census in 1920 in Philadelphia, Philadelphia County, PA.9 His household was at 108 North 19th Street and his occupation was "Store Watchman." He appeared in the census in 1930 in Tomah, Tomah Township, Monroe County, WI.10 He was living by himself at 600 Glendale Avenue. He was listed as "Married" but his wife was not listed in his household. William died on 29 January 1934 at the age of 78 in Milwaukee, Milwaukee County, WI.5,11 He was buried in Tomah, Tomah Township, Monroe County, WI.6 in the Oak Grove Cemetery.

William Molanethon HART Sr. and Annie MARSHALL were married about 1879.1,4,8,11 According to the obituary of their son Harold, they moved from Nebraska to Wisconsin in about 1890 and settled on a farm in Pleasant Valley.

(The 1900 Census indicated that they had 8 children, of whom 6 were living. But 7 children were listed with them, so the census enumerator must have made a mistake. The 1910 Census indicated they had 9 children, of whom 7 were living. The two deceased children must have been the "two daughters who died in infancy" that were mentioned in their brother Harold's obituary.) Annie MARSHALL was born on 18 August 1860 in New Jersey.1,4,5,9 (The 1900 and 1920 Census' listed her birth place as New Jersey, but the 1880 listed it as Pennsylvania. According to the 1920 Census, her father was born in New Jersey and her mother in Ireland.) She appeared in the census in 1880 in Oakdale, Antelope County, NE.1 She appeared in the census in 1900 in Grant Township, Monroe County, WI.4 Annie appeared in the census in 1910 in Grant Township, Monroe County, WI.8 She appeared in the census in 1920 in Philadelphia, Philadelphia County, PA.9 She died on 19 January 1953 at the age of 92.5 Annie was buried in Tomah, Tomah Township, Monroe County, WI.6 in the Oak Grove Cemetery.

(Infant Daughter I) HART was born about 1898.4 She died before June 1900 at the age of 2.4,11 (The obituary of her brother Harold says that "He was preceded in death by his father and brother William and two sisters who died in infancy;" this was one of the sisters.)

George Reginald HART was born in October 1899 in Wisconsin.4,8 He was listed as "Reginald" in the 1900 Census and as "George R." in 1910. He appeared in the census in 1900 in Grant Township, Monroe County, WI.4 He appeared in the census in 1910 in Grant Township, Monroe County, WI.8 George appeared in the census in 1920 in Philadelphia, Philadelphia County, PA.9 He was living with his parents and his occupation was "Page, Hotel." He died before December 1965 at the age of 66.11 (He was mentioned with the name of George in the obituary of his brother Harold as being alive and living in Milwaukee in July 1951 when Harold died.)

She died before April 1910 at the age of 9.8,11 (She was not listed with the family in the 1910 Census.)
