Johann David MARTEN¹ was born on 22 September 1737 in Spornitz, Neustadt, Kreis Ludwigslust-Parchim, Mecklenburg-Schwerin Province, Preussen (Prussia).^1,2 He died in 1808 at the age of 71.^1,2 (The red area of the map is the location of Sportnitz, within the Ludwidgslust-Parchim district of Mecklenburg-Schwerin.)

Johann David MARTEN and Anna Dorothea ROGMANN were married in 1769.^1,2 Anna Dorothea ROGMANN¹, daughter of Johann ROGMANN and (Unknown) UNKNOWN (ROGMANN), was born in 1746 in Munsing.¹ She has Ancestral File Number 941V-D82.³
