Carolina Lisette Wilhelmine "Lena" BEHRENS¹⁵⁶ was born on 12 July 1877 in Tomah, Tomah Township, Monroe County, WI.^{6,8,18,46,157} She was baptized on 12 August 1877 in Ridgeville Township, Monroe County, WI.⁸ at St. John's Evangelical Lutheran Church. She was confirmed on 10 April 1892 in Ridgeville Township, Monroe County, WI.¹⁵⁷ at St. John's Evangelical Lutheran Church. Lena appeared in the census in June 1900 in Tomah Township, Monroe County, WI.²¹ She was living with her parents. She died on 8 August 1955 at the age of 78.¹⁸ She was buried in Tomah, Tomah Township, Monroe County, WI.¹⁵⁸ in the Oak Grove Cemetery (Section OP, Block 4, Lot 33, which was purchased by Dorothea Schueman).

Carolina Lisette Wilhelmine "Lena" BEHRENS and Johannes Claus "John" SCHUEMAN were married on 30 October 1900 in Monroe County, WI.^{17,18,26,27,159} Johannes Claus "John" SCHUEMAN^156,160, son of Hinrich Friedrich SCHUMANN and Wiebke Dorothea SANDKAMP, was born on 19 January 1877 in Schleswig-Holstein Province, Preussen (Prussia).¹⁸ He emigrated in 1884 from Schleswig-Holstein Province, Preussen (Prussia).¹⁸ He served in the military about 1905.¹⁵⁶ Before 1942 John was a farmer and beekeeper in Tomah Township, Monroe County, WI.¹⁷ He died on 29 August 1942 at the age of 65.¹⁸ He was buried in Tomah, Tomah Township, Monroe County, WI.¹⁵⁸ in the Oak Grove Cemetery (Section OP, Block 4, Lot 33, purchased by Dorothea Schueman.).
