Susan Vickery ROBERTSON (^)(!)(+)(#) and Duaine Lester GRIGGS (*) (~) (+) (*+) were married on 17 July 1964 in Ramstein AFB, Kaiserslautern, Rheinland-Pfalz Province, Germany.781 Duaine's parents and sister came from Wisconsin to attend his wedding, along with family friends, Dick and Gilma Keene. That group, along with his brother Gary and his wife Barbara, travelled throughout Germany, the Netherlands, Belgium, France, and Switzerland over the next two weeks, "helping" them celebrate their honeymoon. After her marriage, she lived in Germany for an additional year, before living in Mascoutah, IL, Milwaukee, Atlanta, Rocky Mount (NC), Scottsdale (AZ), Palm Springs (CA), and Wake Forest (NC). She worked in computer sales and as a Nurse. His parents and brother Gary had moved from Tomah to Milwaukee in 1941. The family lived in a rental apartment at 620 North 26th Street when he was born, and they then bought a home in West Allis in July 1942. He was baptized in April 1942 in Tomah, Tomah Township, Monroe County, WI.650 at St. Paul's Evengelical Lutheran Church. He appeared in the census on 4 April 1950 in West Allis, Milwaukee County, WI.783 He lived with his parents at 2240 South 55th Street. Duaine was confirmed on 6 May 1956 in West Allis, Milwaukee County, WI.723,784 from Jordan Evangelical Lutheran Church (His home congregation at Nain Evangelical Lutheran Church was building a new sanctuary, so his confirmation ceremony was held at Jordan Lutheran.) He graduated in June 1960 in West Milwaukee, Milwaukee County, WI.785 from West Milwaukee High School. Duaine's hobbies as a youngster were boat-building and cars. He served in the military between 13 July 1960 and 1968.83 He served in the U.S. Air Force, with assignments in Texas, Japan (2 years), Germany (3 years) and Illinois (2 years). He was a jet fighter mechanic. Between 1968 and 1970 Duaine was in Milwaukee, Milwaukee County, WI. Following his discharge from the Air Force in Mascoutah, Illinois, he and Vicki and their children, Scott and Kristi, moved to Milwaukee, where he initially worked for American Can Company. Between 1970 and September 2002 he was in Milwaukee, Milwaukee County, WI.786 He worked as a copier repair technician for The Xerox Corporation, from which he retired after 32 years. He lived in Friendship, Adams County, WI about 2004. After retiring from Xerox, he and Bonnie moved to Friendship. Duaine lived in Wake Forest Township, Wake County, NC after 2015.787 After Bonnie passed away, he moved from Friendship, to Wake Forest, NC, to be near his daughter Kristi and her family. From Wikipedia: "In 1832, Dr. Calvin Jones, originally from New England, bought 615 acres of forested land in Wake County, North Carolina. He built his plantation here. The sparsely populated area became known as the Forest of Wake, or Wake Forest. Jones sold his farm to the North Carolina Baptist Convention for $2,000, who opened the Wake Forest Manual Labor Institute, later Wake Forest College, on the site. The Raleigh & Gaston Railroad, completed in 1840, established a depot in nearby Forestville that stimulated the school and surrounding village.
