Sylvanus is not mentioned as being a child in the Mayflower Families book, and his birthdate listed on the LDS Family Search Internet site is the same as listed for Samuel in the Mayflower Families book.) He was christened on 15 March 1645/6 in Scituate Township, Plymouth County, Massachusetts Bay Colony, British Colonial America.2 He died in 1698 at the age of 52 in Weymouth Landing, Norfolk County, Massachusetts Bay Colony, British Colonial America.9,24 Samuel was buried in Marblehead, Essex County, Massachusetts Bay Colony, British Colonial America.9 in the Old Burial Hill Cemetery.

Samuel WHITE Sr. and Rebecca LAPHAM were married about 1668 in Scituate Township, Plymouth County, Massachusetts Bay Colony, British Colonial America.2,25 They had eleven children. Rebecca LAPHAM, daughter of Thomas LAPHAM and Mary TILDEN, was born about 13 March 1646 in Rochester, Plymouth County, Massachusetts Bay Colony, British Colonial America.2,8 (Her surname may have been Green, or Samuel White may have married a Rebecca Green in 1686.) She died on 25 June 1711 at the age of 65 in Rochester, Plymouth County, Massachusetts Bay Colony, British Colonial America.2,8
