He appeared in the census in 1900 in Greenfield Township, Monroe County, WI.^3,5 His ocupation was listed as "Farmer." (He had a 120-acre farm in Sections 23 and 26, just northwest of Tunnel City.) His household consisted of Louis, Minnie and their 10 youngest children. (His surname was listed as "Price.") He appeared in the census in 1905 in Greenfield Township, Monroe County, WI.⁶ His surname was spelled "Price" and his occupation was "Farmer." Louis appeared in the census in 1910 in Tomah, Tomah Township, Monroe County, WI.^7,8 His household was on Kilbourn Avenue and his occupation was listed as "Retired Farmer." (His surname was listed as "Price.")

Ludwig "Louis" PREUSS Sr. and Emilie "Minnie" HARMEL were married on 29 December 1867 in Gross Golle, Kreis Wongrowitz, Posen Province, Preussen (Prussia).^1,3 (The 1900 Census indicated that they had been married for 32 years and had 11 children, of whom all were living at the time.) Emilie "Minnie" HARMEL, daughter of Peter HARMEL and Christine KRAUSE, was born on 14 April 1849 in Miloslawitz, Kreis Wongrowitz, Posen Province, Preussen (Prussia).^1,2,3 She emigrated in 1870 from Preussen (Prussia).³
