He emigrated in 1882 from Preussen (Prussia).² He appeared in the census in June 1900 in Wilton, Wilton Township, Monroe County, WI.^2,13,22 He was the head of household and his father was living with him. Albert appeared in the census in 1905 in Wellington Township, Monroe County, WI.⁹ His occupation was "Miller." He appeared in the census in 1910 in Sheldon Township, Monroe County, WI.²² He was naturalized on 6 November 1914 in Sparta, Sparta Township, Monroe County, WI.²⁷ He was granted his U.S. citizenship at the Circuit Court. His surname was spelled "Sonnenberg." Albert appeared in the census in 1920 in Wilton Township, Monroe County, WI.²⁶ (His surname was spelled "Sonnenberg.")
