Mr. Waege was born Dec. 14, 1874, in Wilton and married Anna Degler at Warrens Nov. 12, 1899, following which the couple farmed in the Tomah and Wilton areas. Mrs. Waege died in October 1950. He is survived by five daughters, Mrs. Alfred (Bernice) Laudon, Mrs. Allen (Arlene) Betthauser and Mrs. Donald (Elaine) Kiefer, all of Tomah. Mrs. Veina Zellmer, Sunnyside, Calif., and Mrs. Louis (June) Thom of Milwaukee; seven sons, Alvin and Harold of Tomah, Edward of Sparta, Vere and Lyle of Racine and Fritz and Robert of Wilton. Three sisters, Mrs. Tillie Ferris of Ontario, Mrs. Otto Degler of Wilton and Mrs. Louise Brabant of La Crosse; two half-brothers, Alvin Geier of Tomah and William Geier of Wilton; and 36 grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren. Services will be held at 1:30 p.m. Tuesday at St. Paul’s Lutheran Church, the Rev. O. W. Heier officiating, and burial will be in Oak Grove Cemetery. Friends may call at the Ninneman Funeral Home Monday afternoon and evening and on Tuesday until 11 a.m., when the body will be taken to the church." It was the chewing gum habit. (There is no record of a city named "Effenbush" in Prussia or that area of Europe. The spelling may be incorrect.) . She emigrated in 1890 from Ivenbusch, Filehne District, Kreis Czarnikau, Posen Province, Preussen (Prussia).2,6,12,25 Her parents and siblings entered America through Philadelphia. In the 1900 census, she was living in Tomah, Monroe, Wisconsin with her husband, Ferdinand, and son, Albert. She was listed as a 16-year-old, married, white female. It was also noted that, at the time, she'd only had one child. In 1910, she was living in Tomah, Monroe, Wisconsin with her husband, Ferdenand, and children, Alvin, Edward, Veier, and Leona. She was listed as a 26-year-old, married, white female. It was also noted that, at the time, she'd had four children, all of whom were still living. In 1920, she was living in Tomah, Monroe, Wisconsin with her husband, Ferdinand G., and children, Alvin, Edward, Vere, Leona, William, Lyle, Werna, Harold, and Bernice. She was listed as a 38-year-old, married, white female. In 1930, she was living in Tomah, Monroe, Wisconsin with her husband, Ferdinand G., and children, Edward C., Vere C., Leona L., William H., Lyle E., Verna L., Harold L., Bernice M., June V., Frederick F., Arlene M., Robert D., and Donalane J. She was listed as a 47-year-old, married, white female. In 1940, she was living in Tomah, Monroe, Wisconsin with her husband, Ferdinand, and children, Edward, Vere, Leone, Lyle, Bernice, Frederick, Arlene, Robert, and Don Elaine. She was listed as a 57-year-old, married, white female." Anna was buried in Tomah, Tomah Township, Monroe County, WI.33 in the Oak Grove Cemetery.
